Seeking refuge from their own universe's collapse, a human finds themselves in the tall, intimidating mountains of the Togarrian underworld, after getting too curious. Even as they learn the mountain harbors dangerous colonies of wolves that will do anything to protect their lands. It is unfortunate when they meet their demise at the paws of one of these wolves.

Coming from the fjords of Lati's mountains, a snow leopard makes the ascent to gather insight on these wolves, to see how they live, and how bonds may be forged between them and neighboring towns. But, similarly, they find themselves on the other end of a blade.

Both of them meet their fates at the same time, but one survives. Their souls intertwined in ways impossible to decipher, within the same body. But what if there was a way to separate them? To bring both of these suffering, equally important lives back to their original states?
